Helpful Info For Your Stay At Our Maine Coast Lodging

At Towne Motel, we strive to provide comfortable and convenient Maine Coast lodging for all our guests. Check-in is between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm, with options for late arrivals upon request. Early arrivals can be accommodated for a fee, and guests are welcome to park early and explore Camden. Read more details on our policies below, then BOOK TODAY to begin your journey to the Towne Motel.

Check-In
Check in is from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. You may already know you’ll be arriving after 7:00. Not a problem: just let us know this when you book. Or call us from the road/plane/train/boat/bike at (207)-236-3377. Early arrivals–during high season–are more complicated.  If you know you will be arriving early, please get in touch at least a day before your arrival to find out if we can accommodate you. We do have a very limited number of early arrivals available for a fee ( you will see this as an option when you book online), but on most days we are busy until shortly before check in time getting everything ready for our new round of guests!  If you have a reservation,  you can arrive early, park in our lot and have lunch and a stroll in the beautiful village of Camden.

Check-Out
Check out is at 10 a.m. Occasionally, a later check-out can be accommodated.

Office Hours
8:00 am to 8:00 pm (Eastern Time!). We don’t generally answer calls after 8, but will return your call the next day if you leave a message. If we’re not half dead or asleep at night, we usually answer e-mails later than that.

Reservations:
We don’t have minimum stays except for special event weekends: the Toboggan championship, the Camden Conference, Bluesfest, Lobsterfest, Windjammer Festival, and the Camden International Film Festival. For these, we usually have a two-night minimum. Room rates are based on double occupancy, and we charge $20 extra per person per room. Some of our larger rooms accommodate families, but the limit per room is four guests with a maximum of three adults.

Bike Policy: We do not allow bikes in our guest rooms. Bike racks are available in the back of the property, and can discuss other options with you if you have questions.

Cancellation policy:
If you cancel one week or more before your reservation, there is no charge other than a $25 cancellation / processing fee. If you cancel less than seven days before your scheduled arrival, we try to rebook your room(s), but will have to charge your credit card for any nights we cannot rebook. If we can sell your room for each night you booked, we will refund your deposit, minus the $25 cancellation fee. We do often re-sell rooms in high season, but we can’t guarantee it. For special event weekends, the cancellation period is two weeks: the Toboggan Championships, the Camden Conference, and the weekends of Bluesfest, Lobsterfest, Camden Film Festival, and the Windjammer Festival. For larger group bookings ( e.g. bike tour participants), the cancellation period is several weeks, and differs from group to group, depending on a variety of factors.

Deposit and Payment
We need a credit card to hold your reservation, and we charge a one-night’s deposit for each booked room at the time of reservation. Full payment for the balance of your stay is due at check in. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and cold hard cash (American). If you pay cash, we will also need a valid credit card and ID.

Other Stuff

What Our Guests Are Saying:

Comfortable stay in convenient location! We loved our 3-day stay. Our room was just large enough, and the space was well used, so everything was convenient. The breakfasts were homemade and delicious. We loved being in easy walking distance to “central downtown” Camden. The owners are friendly and right there to help as needed.” Dan
